Suicide Prevention Training for Gatekeepers - Follow-up to QPR Training Online
Participants in this workshop will have completed QPR training prior to this session. QPR Training - Question, Persuade, Refer - is a one-hour evidence-based emergency mental health intervention for people at risk for suicide and is available at https://www.suny.edu/mental-health/. In this workshop, we will answer questions about QPR and help you move from learning about the QPR skills, to utilizing them. This workshop will help enhance your ability to establish a more meaningful and positive relationship with individuals in crisis - therefore increasing the likelihood that individuals in crisis will follow through on referrals to professional resources.
