Building Your Online Course
Registration is now open for “Building Your Online Course” (BYOC), which will begin Wednesday, October, 2017 and run for 4 weeks, ending Tuesday, November 14, 2017. (A bye-week will occur from 10/25 - 10/31) This BYOC course is part of the online course and instructor approval process. During this 4-week course, we will discuss online pedagogy as well as the tools available for preparing and offering an online course at Fredonia.
Completing BYOC during this session will help to prepare you to teach online starting in Spring 2018 and beyond. Information about the online course and instructor approval process can be found at http://www.fredonia.edu/pdc/onlinepreparation.asp.
After registering for BYOC, you will receive information about items that should be completed prior to the start of the 4-week course.. If you have any questions about BYOC, please contact Lisa Melohusky at email@example.com
This course is offered 100% online. You will not be required to come to campus or meet during scheduled times.
This course will be offered in OnCourse, giving you the opportunity to experience online learning as a student. However, the course is about online pedagogy, and not use of the LMS. If you have not already, we encourage you to complete both the Introduction to OnCourse and OnCourse Gradebook workshops. Schedules for these workshops will be available soon through the PDC.
