Academic Program Review, Part II: Allocating Resources Strategically to Support Signature Academic

While building consensus around academic program performance metrics can be challenging, actually using those metrics to reallocate resources to higher priority programs is even more difficult. This webinar profiles institutions that have restructured their program review process to identify strategic opportunities and have altered their resource allocation models (especially the allocation of faculty lines) to better support those opportunities. Key topics addressed include:

  • How to focus academic program reviews on strategic questions
  • How to productively bring new perspectives to program reviews to identify new, collaborative opportunities
  • How to allocate faculty lines to better support institutional priorities
  • How to create organizational structures that facilitate collaboration across disciplines and enable more flexible resource allocation
